Therapy FAQs

Everything You Need to Know

You can expect therapy to be collaborative, individualized, and grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship. We’ll work together to understand what you’re experiencing, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and clarify what you want to change. I’ll draw from evidence-based approaches based on your needs and goals, while making space for you to move at a pace that feels right. Therapy may involve processing past experiences, developing practical skills, strengthening self-awareness, and building greater confidence in how you navigate yourself, your relationships, and your life.

I work with adults and couples navigating trauma, relationship and attachment concerns, and burnout. Many of my clients are high-achieving or highly responsible people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in patterns of people-pleasing or perfectionism, or unsure how to set boundaries and prioritize their own needs. I also support clients working through trauma symptoms, CPTSD, anxious or avoidant attachment patterns, and major life transitions.

Individual therapy sessions are $180 for a 50-minute session. Couples therapy sessions are $220 for a 50-minute session. EMDR intensives are structured as 3-hour blocks with optional 3-hour add-ons. You can view full investment details directly on the EMDR intensives page.

I do not accept insurance directly. However, I can provide a monthly superbill for out-of-network reimbursement upon request. A superbill is a detailed receipt of paid sessions that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan's out-of-network benefits. If you plan to use this option, please check with your insurance to verify your out-of-network benefits.

Getting started is simple. You can either schedule a free 15-minute consultation or submit a contact form. During our initial conversation, we'll talk through your questions, see if working together feels like a good fit, and review next steps with no pressure. You're also welcome to reach out by email at info@kmtherapypractice.com if that feels easier.
